Oomai (ooh-my) Bakeshop is a wife and husband owned small business, making French macarons with a modern twist! Our name "Oomai" is derived from the Japanese word "umai" meaning delicious. At Oomai Bakeshop we pride ourselves in creating unique, balanced flavors that will make your taste buds coming back for more!

The roots of our business stem back from the beginning of the COVID pandemic. No different than anyone else, we were in lockdown trying to find ways to keep busy without driving each other crazy. We started on an ambitious adventure, making our first macaron. Numerous failed attempts tested our resilience, but we became obsessed with the challenge. We finally made our first successful macaron and we were hooked ever since.

After trying other macarons, we encountered the same flavors and fillings. We saw an opportunity to create new, balanced, rich flavor combinations that would set our macarons apart. Due to our ethnic background and culture, we were inspired to use Asian inspired ingredients that would enhance our flavor profiles. We knew we had something special when we received the ultimate Asian compliment "it's not too sweet."
